Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Kaiser Permanente's Glenlake Medical Office. As a key member of our Procedural Suites team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to patients undergoing various medical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-Operative Care
- Perform thorough pre-operative assessments to identify potential risks and develop individualized care plans.
- Initiate intravenous catheter care, central line care, medication administration, and cardiac monitoring as needed.
- Intra-Operative Care
- Manage nursing care of sedated patients, working closely with the Charge Nurse and Surgeon to address any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Assist the operative team in maintaining a safe environment, adhering to sterile technique, and utilizing equipment properly.
- Provide knowledge-based technical assistance to physicians and utilize instruments and medical devices within the procedure room.
- Post-Operative Care
- Monitor and evaluate patient condition and response to procedure and sedation, providing ongoing support and education to patients and families.
- Initiate emergency care as needed and provide follow-up care to patients.
- Assess side effects of treatment and identify additional health problems that may require medical attention.
- Documentation and Communication
- Document patient information in our electronic medical record system, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Education and Training
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in procedural nursing.
- Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to provide quality and safe care, emphasizing continuity between ACC, CDU, and specialty services.
- Education
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or two years of experience in a directly related field.
- Experience
- Minimum three years of RN clinical nursing experience.
- Minimum one year of Critical Care or Operating Room experience.
- Licensure and Certification
- Registered Professional Nurse License (Georgia) required at hire.
- Basic Life Support required at hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support required at hire.
- Additional Requirements
- Complete a Customer Service Assessment.
- Membership in critical care nursing organizations and achievement of nursing certification preferred.
