We are seeking a skilled Photojournalist to capture the world's stories in a creative, clear and accurate manner for Paramount Pictures.
Key Responsibilities:- Shoot assigned news and sports stories in a creative, clear and accurate manner, adhering to the highest standards of journalistic integrity.
- Edit daily stories under deadline pressure using non-linear editing systems, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content.
- Collaborate with reporters, producers, and other team members to create visually appealing and meaningful stories that meet the company's standards.
- Operate ENG news vans, drive station vehicles to assignments, and report any maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain assigned equipment in good working order and report any equipment problems to the supervisor.
- Meet newscast deadlines and deliver high-quality content that upholds the company's values and policies.
- Proficiency in operating Sony XDCAM, Panasonic P-2, or similar ENG Systems, as well as non-linear editing on Edius, FCP X, Avid, or a similar nonlinear editing system.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- The ability to physically carry, shoulder, and shoot with a broadcast ENG camera (25 lbs. or more), as well as carry support equipment (i.e., tripod, lights, etc.).
- Two to five years of experience as a photojournalist in a medium to major market.
- A two to four-year degree in a related field.
- A FAA Part 107 license and flight experience are a plus.
- Shifts will include nights, weekends, and some holidays.
