About the Unit

Our Antepartum Unit at Corewell Health provides expert care for patients with high-risk pregnancies and pregnancy-related conditions. Our team of experienced nurses delivers individualized care, monitoring mother and fetal well-being, and administering high-risk medications as needed. We cater to patients with premature rupture of membranes, preterm labor or contractions, preeclampsia/hypertension, cervical shortening, vaginal bleeding, hyperemesis, and diabetes care.

Scope of Work

As a Registered Nurse in our Antepartum Unit, you will deliver nursing care responsibly and accountably, adhering to the American Nurses Association (ANA) and Michigan State standards. You will demonstrate competency through the critical thinking model, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. You will uphold the standards of professional performance, including ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, and research.

Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required within 5 years.
  • Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) licensure is required.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 90 days.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is required within 90 days.
  • 6+ months of inpatient RN experience is preferred.
