Key Responsibilities:- Perform all duties in accordance with client guidelines and requirements.
- Assist with tasks to meet the needs of the location and patient/customer or to ensure an orderly operation.
- Keep current with medication information, health care concepts, and all regulations relative to the practice of long term care, institutional, and retail pharmacy.
- Interpret and clarify new and refill order requests to ensure appropriateness and maintain patient safety.
- Prepare or cause to be prepared safe, neat, accurate, complete medication orders.
- Provide and is responsible for final check on all prepared medication to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assure that all medication orders and supplies are delivered promptly and completely to correct patients.
- Provide support/suggestions when appropriate to provide safe and effective medication therapy.
- Prepare and complete all appropriate documentation including incident reports, controlled substances sheets, etc.
- Bachelor's and/or Doctorate in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university.
- Experience with Pharmacy Data Entry Systems.
- Pharmacy licensure from state of employment is required.
