Key Responsibilities:

  • Translating overarching product requirements into firmware specifications.
  • Conducting systems testing aligned with firmware specifications.
  • Collaborating with firmware engineers to define firmware requirements and testing protocols.
  • Engaging with firmware, software, and systems engineers to establish requirements for systems testing and manufacturing test software.
  • Developing test cases and evaluating embedded firmware and manufacturing test software.
  • Exploring, prototyping, and delivering innovative system solutions.
  • Participating in design reviews, API testing, and documentation processes.
  • Working with emerging technologies crucial to product development.
  • Delivering investigation plans, reports, and design specifications.
  • Effectively collaborating with both software and hardware product teams.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 3-5+ years in roles such as robotics engineer, control systems engineer, Firmware QA Engineer, or Systems Engineer (embedded systems).
  • Expertise in areas including sensor data collection and analysis, motion control design, or PID control.
  • Ability to convert high-level marketing or system requirements into firmware/software specifications and create corresponding test cases.
  • Experience in testing and generating reports against firmware specifications.
  • Capability to design and establish requirements for manufacturing test software for instruments and their subsystems.
  • Experience in designing, creating requirements, and testing for instrument calibration and its subsystems.
  • System-level integration experience.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and programming languages such as Python.
  • Experience in drafting unit and system-level test requirements and cases.
  • Familiarity with project management and bug tracking tools like Jira.
