We are seeking a skilled and experienced Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team at Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing CT procedures, determining and following appropriate imaging protocols, and documenting pertinent exam information in the medical record.
Key Responsibilities- Perform CT procedures, including imaging exams and interventional CT procedures, utilizing all CT scanners and associated technology on site at VCUHS.
- Determine and/or follow appropriate imaging protocols, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, health system, and department policies, procedures, processes, and guidelines.
- Document pertinent exam information in the medical record, maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient procedures and outcomes.
- Maintain archival storage of imaging exams and associated documents, ensuring secure and compliant storage of sensitive patient information.
- Assist licensed independent practitioners with specialized interventional computed tomography procedures, applying appropriate aseptic surgical technique as needed.
- Represent the goals, values, and vision of VCU Health System, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and quality patient care.
- Registry by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT-R) or by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) and ARRT-CT.
- Current Certification by ARRT or NMTCB and ARRT-CT.
- Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers).
- One (1)-3 years of previous CT Technologist work experience.
- Previous work experience in an academic medical center environment is preferred.
This position requires prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, walking (distance), reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive), repetitive motion, and other physical demands. The individual must be able to handle multiple priorities, frequent and intense customer interactions, and adapt to frequent change in a fast-paced environment.
