Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for applying various coatings such as paint, clear coat, and stain to components based on detailed instructions, schedules, and blueprints. The role also involves inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.


Essential Duties

  • Interprets specifications or work orders to identify items for finishing
  • Handles and positions items for coating
  • Prepares surfaces for application
  • Adjusts spray equipment and applies coatings to specified areas
  • Conducts visual inspections of finished products for quality assurance
  • Maintains cleanliness of the spray booth and equipment
  • Replaces filters in the paint booth as necessary
  • Identifies and rectifies defects in finished products
  • Adheres to safety protocols and established standards
  • Keeps work area organized and free from hazards
  • Engages in training and skill development as required
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned

Required Skills

  • Experience with paint application techniques and equipment in a production setting
  • Ability to comprehend written instructions and work orders
  • Knowledge of surface preparation and adhesion principles
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements

This role is situated in a production environment and involves:

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
  • Prolonged periods of standing
  • Steady hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Regular lifting of up to 25 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds
  • Frequent use of hands for handling tools and materials
  • Ability to see details at close range
