Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team at King County. As a Social Worker, you will provide direct services to clients, including behavioral health assessments, care planning, education, counseling, and referral as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

You will conduct comprehensive, culturally-sensitive behavioral health assessments of high-risk patients and families, with an emphasis on prenatal and postpartum mothers of infants, children, and teens. You will also provide direct services to individuals and groups in a Public Health setting, both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct services to clients, including behavioral health assessments, care planning, education, counseling, and referral
  • Conduct comprehensive, culturally-sensitive behavioral health assessments of high-risk patients and families
  • Provide direct services to individuals and groups in a Public Health setting
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team with other disciplines in public health and the community
  • Crisis intervention, short-term counseling, and referral services to stabilize client psychosocial needs and coping skills

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a social service-related field
  • One year of full-time related experience
  • Ability to obtain a Certified Counselor Credential or an Associate Level credential or License in Social Work or Mental Health

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • WIC and Maternity Support Services experience

Working Conditions:

  • Typical work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • May be required to work at other locations on an as-needed basis
