Position Overview:
The Terminal Technician will play a vital role in the management of our petroleum products terminal. This position involves working with various petroleum products and overseeing all operational functions within the terminal.
As a Terminal Technician, you will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering high-quality products safely and efficiently. While you will have a designated home location, flexibility to assist at other terminals may be required based on operational needs.
This role may involve a standard 4- or 5-day workweek, including shift work as necessary. Availability for call-outs and overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is expected. Continuous training will be provided to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on loading equipment and other terminal facilities.
- Perform sampling and laboratory analysis of petroleum products.
- Gauge and monitor storage tanks.
- Assist in the receipt and shipment of petroleum products via pipeline and barge.
- Engage in physical tasks such as stair climbing and lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Prepare and maintain terminal operational reports.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a high school diploma or GED. Basic computer skills and the ability to perform arithmetic operations are essential. A valid Driver's License is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
While not mandatory, an associate degree or vocational training in a related field is advantageous. Previous experience in process operations or the petroleum industry is also preferred.
