Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Repair Technician to join our team at Suntrup Ford Westport. As a Quick Lube and Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and battery replacements. You will also be required to maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair and perform recalls and light warranty repairs. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and for our records.

Responsibilities

Maintains a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair
Performs routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and battery replacements
Performs recalls and light warranty repairs
Maintains legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and for our records
Cleans and maintains the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
Drives the vehicle for testing purposes and inspects and refills fluid levels as necessary
Ensures tire pressure for proper inflation, cleans and lubricates fittings as needed
Installs a new oil drain plug and new oil filter and communicates oil levels to teammates
Uses power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks

Qualifications

Must have a full set of tools to do the job
Quality work
Team player
Strong communication skills
Pass drug test and random tests. Zero tolerance
Pass criminal background check (no criminal record)
Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
High school diploma or GED (required)
ASE certification/technical degree (preferred)
At least one year experience in a service department
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Missouri state and emission license
