Civil Engineer

We are seeking an Experienced EIT/Graduate Engineer to join our team in Gonzales, Buda, or Bastrop, TX.

• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Civil Engineering and experience in Water/Wastewater Infrastructure projects.
• Responsibilities will include exercising sound decision making, taking initiative, and responsibility of project workloads.
• The successful candidate will have excellent verbal/written communication skills, efficient time management, and active listening capabilities.

Requirements

• B.S in Civil Engineering from an A.B.E.T Accredited School.
• Working knowledge of computer assisted engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, Civil-3D, KYPIPE, HEC-HMS/HEC-RAS, etc.
• Ability to supplement designs, calculations, and drawings supporting our client's overall project goals.
• Basic computer software skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Adobe Acrobat or PDF Exchange, and Blue Beam.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate files and organization of all contracts.
• Perform engineering tasks under the supervision of a Project Manager.
• Utilize design and drafting software to create engineering documents.
• Attend site visits as needed through design and construction.
• Develop the ability to prepare a full set of construction documents for supervisor to review, with limited supervision.
• Attend client meetings for assigned projects and develop relationships with the clients and design team.
• Prepare technical reports and specifications for projects.
• Research/review code and permitting requirements for projects as directed.
