As an Interventional Radiology Travel Nurse RN, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This position involves working with a diverse patient population experiencing various medical conditions.
Certification Requirements:
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Certifications are mandatory.
Job Details:
- Specialty: Interventional Radiology (IR)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Patient Types: Inpatient, outpatient, and emergent cases including Stroke Thrombectomy, Embolizations, and various procedures such as Biopsies and drain insertions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer conscious sedation and manage patient care pre and post procedures.
- Charting and circulating during interventional procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Work Schedule:
- Shifts: Combination of 2x10hr and 2x8hr shifts or all 8hr shifts.
- Schedule will be posted 17 days in advance for a 6-week period.
- On-call requirements include 1-2 days per week, every third weekend, and every other holiday.
Unit Specific Information:
- Number of suites/labs: 2
- Average cases per day: 5-10
Technology and Equipment:
- EMR: EPIC
- Equipment: Philips Xper (Hemo), Siemens C-Arm
On-call Support:
- Intensivist MD available 24/7
- IR team on call after hours
Additional Information:
- Orientation: One week of classroom and lab training.
- Radiation Badge required prior to starting.
- Personal items: Bring your own lock for the locker and hospital-approved footwear.
- Radius Rule: Candidates must be at least 50 miles away from certain facilities.
- Request for Time Off (RTO) should be submitted upfront (7 days or less per contract). Additional requests may not be approved.
