Position Overview

The Cath Lab Technologist role at Barnes-Jewish Hospital Allied involves critical responsibilities in the operation of advanced imaging equipment within the hybrid operating room environment.

Certification Requirements
  • Mandatory Certifications: ACLS, ARRT, BLS
  • Preferred Certifications: ARRT VI, RCIS, ARRT advanced certification
Job Details
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with one designated day off each week, alternating based on departmental needs.
  • Floating Requirements: No clinician floating within the scope of practice.
  • Local Candidates: Not accepted; radius rule is 75 miles.
  • Pending State License: Accepted.
  • Request Time Off Restrictions: 7 days.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week.
  • Special Responsibilities: Primary focus on operating the Siemens Zeego Fluoro machine in vascular procedures within the hybrid OR. Secondary duties include monitoring technology and documentation using EPIC. The department handles approximately 30-40 cases daily, with variable volume, including cardiac and vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures.
  • Teaching Hospital Environment: Technologists will not participate in scrubbing during Cath Lab or vascular procedures.
Job Requirements
  • Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year.
  • First-time Technologists: Not accepted.
  • Weekend Requirements: Not applicable.
  • On-call Requirements: Yes, 1 night during the weekday.
Schedule Information

No weekend call coverage is necessary, with only one night per week required.

Unit Specific Information
  • Rooms Available: 10
  • Equipment: Siemens Zeego Fluoro machine, IVUS machine, contrast injector, MacLab.
  • Eligibility: Candidates can be X-ray technologists or Cath Lab technologists.
Additional Information

Certificates of completion are acceptable for up to one month until the official certification card is issued.
