Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant PTA

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team at Wellward Medical, an integrated regenerative medicine clinic dedicated to providing innovative and comprehensive treatments that enhance the healing process and improve patient outcomes.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our Physical Therapist in developing and implementing personalized rehabilitation programs to optimize patient recovery. As a PTA, you will work closely with our Physical Therapist to conduct thorough assessments and evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and administer various physical therapy techniques and exercises to enhance mobility, strength, and function.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist Physical Therapists in conducting thorough assessments and evaluations to determine patients' physical abilities, limitations, and goals.
  • Support in developing individualized treatment plans based on patients' specific needs, incorporating regenerative medicine techniques, advanced modalities, and other industry-leading techniques when applicable.
  • Administer a variety of physical therapy techniques and exercises, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and advanced techniques, to enhance mobility, strength, and function.
  • Provide handson manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and advanced modalities to alleviate pain and promote healing.
  • Assist in educating patients on proper posture, body mechanics, and injury prevention strategies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the clinic, such as physicians, and chiropractor, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Support in implementing a system for tracking and documenting clinical outcomes to evaluate treatment effectiveness and demonstrate the efficacy of our integrated approach.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting progress, treatment plans, and clinical outcomes.
  • Regularly communicate with patients, their families, and caregivers to address questions, concerns, and progress updates.
  • Assist in staying informed about advancements in regenerative medicine, physical therapy techniques, and industry-leading modalities to enhance clinical practice.
Requirements:
  • Valid license as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Kentucky.
  • Strong understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.
  • Proficiency in supporting the design and implementation of comprehensive rehabilitation programs.
  • Experience in assisting with tracking and analyzing clinical outcomes to evaluate treatment effectiveness.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work closely with Physical Therapists and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Dedication to continuing education and staying updated with the latest advancements in physical therapy, regenerative medicine, and clinical outcome tracking.
