Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide clinical and operational leadership to the Operating Room team, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient use of resources.
- Quality Improvement: Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction, and to reduce errors and complications.
- Staff Development: Mentor and develop the skills of nursing staff, including new graduate nurses, to ensure they have the knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality patient care.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other departments, including anesthesia, surgery, and radiology, to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Financial Management: Manage the budget for the Operating Room, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master's degree in nursing or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a registered nurse in the Operating Room, with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Certifications: Current RN license in state of practice; BLS certification required.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment; knowledge of quality improvement principles and practices.
