SMT Engineer

Join Panasonic Connect North America (PCONA) as an SMT Engineer and contribute to the development of innovative electronic assembly solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and optimizing SMT processes to meet the evolving needs of our customers.

• Develop and maintain expertise in Panasonic electronic assembly equipment, processes, and software systems.
• Perform engineering research, design, and development of experimental methods for various technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve machine quality, efficiency, and volume.
• Support sales and service activities, including installations, presentations, troubleshooting, and machine optimization.
• Conduct technical writing, presentations, and training for customers and internal stakeholders.

• BS degree in engineering or higher (chemistry, material science, industrial engineering, etc.).
• 3-5 years of engineering experience, preferably in electronic assembly.
• Working knowledge of CAE systems, such as SolidWorks, PRO, or E, and 3D modeling software.
• AutoCAD experience and MS Office suite proficiency are preferred.
• Strong PC and software skills, with advanced skills in MS Excel, VBA, and macro development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and detailed technical reports and presentations.
