At Seafield Center, we are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess excellent nursing skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Main Function:

To provide high-quality patient care and act as a health coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, providing nursing assessments, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Document all pertinent nursing care matters in the client's electronic medical record.
  • Provide nursing assessments and consultations to patients.
  • Maintain records of infection control matters related to patients and staff.
  • Supervise same-sex urine sample collection for toxicology.
  • Administer breathalyzer and alcohol swabs.
  • Attend job-related meetings and in-service lectures.
  • Inform the office manager of general office and medical supplies as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Competency Requirements:

  • Perform admission nursing assessments and make appropriate nursing diagnoses.
  • Assess clients' psychiatric history and current psychiatric status.
  • Administer medications as ordered by the physician.
  • Understand basic pharmacology and perform basic nursing skills.
  • Be proficient in computer usage, including the electronic medical record system.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Current New York State Registered Nurse licensure.
  • CPR certification.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this job require the ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach. The position may occasionally require stooping, kneeling, or crouching.

The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned and to make general observations.

Compensation:

$35 - $37 per hour
