Analytical Chemist

Job Summary:

Millipore Corporation is seeking an Analytical Chemist to perform laboratory operations, including chemical and physical analysis in a QC lab. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or other Scientific discipline and 2+ years of laboratory experience.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain safe working conditions and practices in compliance with established responsible care procedures.
• Comply with EH&S requirements.
• Work in a laboratory environment and read and follow SOPs.
• Set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation required for QC tests, research, or process control.
• Prepare reagents, samples, standards according to procedures.
• Document and record test data and observations as a permanent record.
• Make calculations according to standard operating procedures/instructions.
• Compile and organize raw and refined data for clear communication and interpretation.
• Track or perform routine maintenance on analytical equipment.
• Maintain appropriate laboratory supply levels.
• Effectively and efficiently organize daily activities to achieve expected results.
• Maintain higher housekeeping standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or other Scientific discipline.
• 2+ years laboratory experience.
• Preferred qualifications include a Master's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or other Scientific discipline, 1+ years experience in an analytical or QC laboratory, and advanced analytical experience including chromatograph analysis, physical property, and particle characterization.
