Description

Proof of the Pudding is a renowned catering company in the Southeast, committed to creating high-quality culinary concepts from scratch. We provide elevated concessions and premium offerings to various events, including collegiate stadiums, PGA golf tournaments, and professional sports teams.

We are seeking experienced Food Service Workers to join our team at Georgia Tech. As a member of our team, you will work with the front-of-house team and be in and out of kitchens, providing daily food service to student athletes and supporting various athletic events.

This is a seasonal/part-time position, with a schedule that may range depending on business needs. You will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team, develop your skills, and advance your career in the food service industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in setting up food stations, transporting hot and cold food items, and replenishing food items as needed.
  • Operate and provide service at interactive stations, such as build-your-own smoothies.
  • Serve and clear food and beverages quietly, professionally, and quickly, using proper serving and clearing techniques.
  • Keep work areas clean and coordinate actions with the FOH Supervisor to ensure flawless customer service.
  • Manage time effectively and assist in managing inventory of equipment and with set up and breakdown of events.
  • Report to the FOH Supervisor and perform any tasks assigned to execute a flawless event.
  • Follow proper food handling and sanitation guidelines.
  • Assist in the clean-up and flip of service areas in preparation for the next service time.
Qualifications
  • 1+ year of serving and/or front-of-house experience.
  • Experience in high-volume catering or food service is preferred.
Work Environment

The work environment for this position will mainly attend to the Student Athlete Training Table located in Bobby Dodd Field. You will move in and out of the kitchen and food service area, including coolers, freezers, and other sanitary places.

  • Prolonged periods of standing, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue.
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting approximately 30 lbs.
