Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

This role is responsible for daily patient care, ensuring a smooth flow of office patients. Assist in providing patient care under the supervision of a physician. This position does not require any formal licensing or certification. The technician will perform various clerical tasks, including medical transcription, for the physician.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Execute timely procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
    · Transcribe dictated materials, achieving an average of at least 138 lines per hour.
    · Manage and transcribe all urgent transcription requests as necessary. Document transcribed reports once per shift.
    · Conduct necessary quality control measures to ensure high-quality examinations are conducted.
    · Maintain patient comfort and adhere to established safety protocols.
    · Foster a collaborative team environment within the department/office.
    · Comply with and practice appropriate infection control policies and procedures.
    · Assist with patient follow-up and care.
    · Prepare examination rooms with necessary equipment, supplies, and educational materials for patients.
    · Help manage budgeted supply expenses.
    · Perform additional duties as required.
    · Uphold patient confidentiality.
    · Understand and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures.
    · Practice and uphold the Code of Conduct and Mission and Values statements.
  • EDUCATION:
    · No formal education requirements.

    EXPERIENCE:
    · One to three years of experience in a medical office setting is required. Prior transcription experience is preferred. CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
  • No certification requirements.
