The Maintenance Specialist will provide technical support services to ensure the smooth operation of Chrysos PhotonAssayTM equipment. This role involves scheduled monthly maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and providing technical support via phone, email, and remote computer login.
Key Responsibilities- Perform scheduled monthly maintenance and respond to breakdowns to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability.
- Provide technical support services to customers via phone, email, and remote computer login.
- Liaise with support staff at Chrysos' headquarters and technology partners in China.
- Train customers on the safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Manage spares inventory for each installation site.
- Document maintenance and spares activities and provide feedback to customers.
- Assist in the development and improvement of maintenance and service processes.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Prepare fault records for statistics and reporting.
- Assist in root cause analysis of faults and safety incidents.
- Train new Maintenance Specialists on site.
- Support the development of a strong WHS culture.
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining technical equipment.
- Safety mindset.
- Strong customer service ethos and problem-solving skills.
- Able and willing to travel and work across North America.
- Familiarity with the mining industry and mine-site operations.
- Customer service and field service experience in the mining or mineral sector.
- Demonstrated experience in fault finding in electro-mechanical equipment.
- Hands-on experience in electrical wiring and safety, power distribution, mechanical maintenance, and repairs.
- Basic electronics, metalworking, engineering drawing, and design experience.
- Experience in product development and manufacturing.
- Bilingual written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in office productivity software, including MS suite.
- Valid rights to work and current driver's license.
- College graduate with 2-3 years' experience in a related technical discipline.
