POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the guidance of the Registered Nurse or Director of Nursing, the Licensed Practical Nurse employs a foundational understanding of nursing principles and essential physical assessment techniques to create and execute personalized nursing care plans, ensuring the well-being of all residents.
This role involves overseeing the daily functions of the unit during each shift and may include taking on leadership responsibilities as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates should possess a formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years of college) and have expertise in a specialized field. A minimum of one year of experience is preferred. Graduates from an accredited nursing program (diploma) are required. A valid Practical Nursing license and AHA CPR Certification are mandatory.
Basic computer proficiency is essential, including familiarity with Synquest, IV Pumps, Phillips Monitoring Systems, Accucheck, EKG Machines, and Specialty Bed Operations.
LifeBridge Health offers a Nursing Career Ladder that provides opportunities for growth and advancement for Licensed Practical Nurses. The Clinical Career Ladder level for new hires will be established based on defined criteria during the hiring process.
