Giant Eagle is seeking a talented Master Pastry Artist to join our Bakery team. As an Experienced Cake Decorator, you will create stunning cakes and pastries while providing exceptional customer service.

Your role involves preparing products, managing special orders, and ensuring that the bakery meets safety and sanitation standards. The ideal candidate is passionate about food artistry, enjoys teamwork, and thrives in a fast-paced environment focused on customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare and decorate products for the Bakery cases and displays, rotating product and ensuring code dating procedures are followed.
  • Maintain quality of product for sale by checking sales area for dates and condition of product.
  • Provide exemplary customer service by greeting customers and ensuring they are able to locate the products they are looking for.
  • Take special orders from guests over the telephone and in person.
  • Avoid creating a disorganized workspace and improve cleanliness of equipment, tables, utensils, floor, etc.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Satisfactory completion of job specific skills assessment; 6 to 12 months experience or successful completion of the Giant Eagle Apprenticeship program.
  • No High School diploma required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around $25,000-$35,000 per year, based on location and experience.
