Job Summary

As a Phlebotomist Floater at Synectics, you will represent the face of our company to patients who come to us for their health routine or life-defining health decisions. You will draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draw blood samples from patients in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
  • Prepare blood samples for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence.
  • Ensure daily activities of the Patient Service Center/Mobile/Long Term Care/In-Office Phlebotomy are completed accurately and on time.
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification.
  • 5 years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Minimum 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred.
  • Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
  • Floaters travel in between multiple sites and are expected to be on time at whatever site they are covering for that day.
  • Must also have a clean driving record.
  • Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
