Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Category Manager - Plant Labor and Services to lead our strategic sourcing efforts for labor and services across all 5 facilities in North America. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing and procurement strategies to deliver improved value for money, reduce risk, and improve quality and service.

Main Accountabilities
  • Develop category-specific strategies for Plant Labor and Services to drive cost savings, improve quality, and enhance service delivery.
  • Ensure all contractors and suppliers meet Primient's safety standards and adhere to our procurement process.
  • Collaborate with plant operations, maintenance, and engineering stakeholders to understand labor requirements and business priorities.
  • Manage the requisition management process to ensure cost-effective solutions for plant labor requirements.
  • Analyze category trends, create multi-year strategic sourcing strategies, and develop programs to provide a competitive advantage to the business.
  • Lead the procurement process for all Labor and Services projects, including RFI/RFQ/RFPs, negotiations, and contract preparation and execution.
  • Develop robust commercial arrangements that meet Primient's business, legal, sustainability, and ethical requirements.
  • Directly manage contracts and suppliers for Plant Labor & Services, including leased and rental equipment, through supplier scorecards and quarterly business reviews.
  • Ensure all purchasing activities are conducted in accordance with proper procedures and protocols.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in Supply Chain or Procurement (SCMP/CPSM) or Project Management preferred.
Experience
  • 10+ years in strategic sourcing/contractor labor procurement experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a deep understanding of total system cost concepts.
  • Experience with Should Cost, TCO, and ROI analysis/review.
  • Experience developing strong customer/stakeholder relationships and partnerships.
  • Subject matter expertise in Plant Labor and related services.
  • Experience managing a Plant Labor spend portfolio of $175M+.
Skills/Knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster/build relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Possess a sense of urgency and results-oriented approach.
  • Strong negotiations skills.
  • Ability to identify problems and root causes, suggest resolutions, and drive execution.
Location

This position can be located in our office in Decatur, Illinois or Schaumburg, IL.
