As a Senior Data Architect, you'll play a critical role in shaping our data strategy, ensuring our data solutions align with our business goals, and driving data-driven decision making across the organization.

The Opportunity

You'll be responsible for defining, creating, and maintaining architecture artifacts for enterprise data solutions, including data architecture, data flow diagrams, conceptual/logical data models, data dictionaries, and database design. Your expertise will be essential in developing and implementing data solutions that support advanced analytics, including Snowflake, Azure, and DBT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Cybersecurity, and other Tech teams to ensure system designs and changes to data environments align with our long-term IT strategy and architectural standards.
  • Design and implement end-to-end data solution designs, from high-level to low-level, using our data solution tools.
  • Develop a data strategy that maximizes the value of data as an asset, including a migration strategy from our current state to our future state architecture.
  • Lead and provide practical experience in cloud-native data services, including Azure, Snowflake, and DBT.
  • Define, create, and maintain architecture artifacts for Enterprise Data solutions, including data architecture, data flow diagrams, conceptual/logical data models, data dictionaries, and database design.
  • Provide leadership, oversight, and development execution of data architecture design and associated delivery.
  • Train and coach other team members on data architecture standards and best practices, ensuring governance and adherence to standards.
  • Investigate and analyze data sources to identify relevant information for inclusion in our data solutions.
  • Own vendor relationships for our data solutions and stay informed on upcoming product releases.
  • Lead and own the Architecture Review Board committee and discussions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Finance, Statistics, or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
  • 8-10 years of in-depth, hands-on knowledge and execution of foundational data architectures, including data warehouses, data modeling, data mining, ETL, and in-memory models.
  • Sophisticated verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to different levels of leadership.
  • Proven ability to influence and empower individuals and teams.
  • Proficient knowledge in modern data architecture supporting advanced analytics, including Snowflake, Azure, and DBT.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, responding quickly to oversight and following instruction closely, while anticipating needs and developing efficiencies on repeat tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytics skills, with the ability to work in a cross-functional team.
  • Quick self-motivated learner who can initiate and drive new data solutions and patterns in anticipation of management and client goals and objectives with little or no supervision.
  • Self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products.
  • Ability to adapt to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Expert knowledge of data modeling, documentation, and governance tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrated human relation skills to effectively interact with peers, subordinates, internal and external customers, and vendors.
  • Sophisticated analytical skills related to cost/benefit analysis of large dollar hardware and software implementations.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Pay Transparency

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $145,000 - $214,000. You're also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
