Job Summary

Cynet Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team in the Heart & Vascular Institute. As a key member of our procedural team, you will be responsible for administering contrast material, assisting physicians with procedures, and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Procedural Support: Administer contrast material as requested by a physician, recognizing and responding to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions.
  • Assist with Procedures: Assist the physician with procedures in the Heart & Vascular Institute and provide patient care.
  • Documentation: Document accurately and completely.
  • Communication: Accurately inform the procedural nurse of dosages of intraprocedural medications, radiation, and sponge/sharp counts.
  • On-Call Duties: Perform oncall duties and work variable shifts as needed.
  • Cardiac Cath Lab Tasks: Perform various cardiac cath lab tasks, including left and right heart caths, pericardiocentesis, and vascular access.
  • Structural Heart Procedures: Assist with structural heart procedures, such as TAVR, Watchman, Mitraclip, and others.
  • Hybrid Peripheral Vascular Tasks: Work on hybrid peripheral vascular tasks in coordination with Vascular Surgery.
  • Adjunctive Tools: Utilize adjunctive tools like IVUS, FFR/iFR, Lithotripsy, Laser, Rota, Impella, IABP, OCT, and CTO.
  • Sterile Field Maintenance: Maintain a sterile field during procedures.
  • Contrast and Treatment Administration: Administer and withhold contrast and treatment as appropriate.
  • Patient Assessment: Assess patients for allergies.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory and procedure supply management.
  • Training and Support: Provide instructions and support for new staff as necessary.
Requirements
  • Radiologic Technology Experience: Radiologic Technology experience in a procedural setting preferred.
  • Licensure: IEMA Radiography License.
  • Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), and Radiography (R)(ARRT).
  • Must-Have Skills: Capacity to learn and retain information about patient care and procedures, ability to communicate effectively, follow directions, and complete detailed work accurately, demonstrates compassion and caring, and manual dexterity to handle small supplies.
