We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at LewisGale Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing nuclear medicine procedures, including administering radiopharmaceuticals and operating imaging equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nuclear medicine technology, with certification from a recognized organization such as the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures, including administering radiopharmaceuticals and operating imaging equipment
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement diagnostic plans
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of imaging studies
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nuclear medicine technology
  • Certification from a recognized organization, such as the NMTCB or ARRT
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
