Job Overview

Toby Services LTD is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer to support the Engineering Manager in addressing Sales Inquiries and Manufacturing Support.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing quality control functions, providing manufacturing support, and identifying quality issues. Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software and drafting procedures is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure seamless quality control processes including first article, in-process, and final inspections, performance testing, and incoming goods inspection.
  • Offer expert technical support to manufacturing teams, resolving issues through troubleshooting and failure analysis.
  • Efficiently manage Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) processes, inspecting and estimating repairs to focus on product quality improvements.
  • Identify and recommend solutions to quality issues, contributing to continuous process improvement.
  • Develop, evaluate, and enhance manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Implement Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to introduce changes and guarantee their success.
  • Analyze quality issues generated by RMAs and customer inquiries, responding with MRBs or ECNs as needed to initiate corrective actions.
  • Create and maintain accurate Shop Routings (Job Confirmations) for assigned product codes.
  • Review and update existing routings prior to production and job confirmation, ensuring drawings are current.
  • Maintain accurate records of job quantity, EBQ, structure, and routing, drawing.
  • Recommend substitute or alternate manufacture when necessary, optimizing production efficiency.
  • Review and request cost changes as required, maintaining accurate material costing and maintenance.
  • Create and update Material Numbers, ensuring precise tracking information and material descriptions within the ERP system.
  • Maintain stock codes/part numbers, including description, structure, routing, EBQ, and cost of procurement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in product manufacturing is essential.
  • Strong expertise in CAD/CAM software and drafting procedures is required.

The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 per annum, depending on location and qualifications.
