Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our cardiovascular intensive care unit in Indianapolis, IN. This is a 12-hour shift position, three days a week, from 07:00 AM to 19:00 PM, for a total of 36 hours per week. The role is a 3-month contract, offering an opportunity to work in a challenging and rewarding environment, providing top-notch care to post-operative patients in a fast-paced CVICU setting.

Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to the healthcare team
- Serve as a primary coordinator for all disciplines involved in patient care, ensuring well-coordinated care
- Carry out physician and nursing orders accurately and promptly
- Assist in patient discharge planning by working closely with the healthcare team
- Provide specialized care using CVVH/Nxstage machines and manage Impella devices
- Proficiently manage Swan-Ganz catheters and care for post-operative patients
Requirements:
- Current RN CVICU certification
- 1-3 years of experience in a cardiovascular intensive care setting
- Proficiency in the use of CVVH/Nxstage machines, Impella devices, and Swan-Ganz catheters
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Must be authorized to work in the United States (Green Card or US Citizen)
- Two professional references
