Extruder Production Assistant

EXTRUDER PRODUCTION ASSISTANT:

Join our team as an Extruder Production Assistant. This role is essential in supporting the extruder operator during product changeovers and ensuring the quality of the final product. You will also be responsible for operating the printing equipment.

Compensation: $18.19/hr with an additional $1 premium for night shifts. Shifts are from 7 PM to 7 AM.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize common hand and measurement tools effectively.
  • Adhere to safety protocols while following instructions.
  • Interpret purchase orders and prioritize tasks for the shift.
  • Understand extrusion tooling and its applications.
  • Communicate effectively with team members.
  • Familiarity with take-up gear ratios and wire sizes.

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods. You should be capable of twisting, stooping, squatting, reaching above shoulder level, and crouching frequently. Proper lifting techniques are essential, as you may need to lift up to 45 pounds. The work environment may be hot or cold, typical of a prefabricated building without climate control. Be prepared for exposure to substantial radiant heat from the extruders, as well as noise from machinery such as hopper vacuums and motors.


Qualifications:

A High School Diploma or GED is required. A resume is necessary for application. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and will be subject to a drug screening and background check.
