Job Summary

The Network Security Engineer will serve as a primary point of contact for complex technology issues and cybersecurity needs. This role will support the company by installing, configuring, and maintaining Heeter's Network infrastructure in accordance with predetermined security frameworks. The position will be responsible for maintaining the organization's Cyber Security Frameworks and managing annual or bi-annual audits.

This position is based in Eastlake, OH, with occasional travel needs to our Pittsburgh-based locations (15-20%). A hybrid work environment is available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain computer networks, including mainframes, VPNs, routers, wireless access points, network switches, and other physical hardware.
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware issues, making repairs and performing scheduled updates.
  • Maintain and configure firewalls as needed.
  • Provide technical support for clients and end-users through various communication channels.
  • Secure the computer network against cyber-attacks, including installing antivirus software and ensuring regular updates.
  • Work with management to facilitate network resource downtime and maintenance during system upgrades.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate networking issues to other employees and management.
  • Implement and update disaster recovery procedures.
  • Maintain current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices and implement them company-wide.
  • Maintain and manage security audits for all locations with help from the IT department: HITRUST & SOCII.
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and determine objectives and approaches to assignments.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and utilize technology to develop new workflows.
  • Maintain composure and organization to handle multiple priorities and internal customers.
  • Analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
  • Possess interpersonal skills necessary to maintain and build relationships.
  • Ability to clearly and professionally communicate both written and verbally.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, information systems management, or information security, or related degree, or industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP.
  • 5+ years' experience working in networking and information systems with specific experience in:

o VSphere

o Switching

o Operational IT

o Linux (Ubuntu and Kali)

o Microsoft Server

o Mac OS

o Key Management

o Identity Access Management

o Incident Response Framework

o Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery

o Vulnerability Remediation

· Experience with C# preferred

· Experience with SQL mandatory
