Pharmacy Technician

As a Pharmacy Technician at Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient distribution of medications to our patients. This is a full-time position working 2nd shift.
Key Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, dispensing, and labeling
- Triaging phone calls and responding to medication-related inquiries
- Repackaging and inventorying medications
- Providing excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and staff
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to resolve medication-related issues
- High School diploma or equivalent required; two years of college preferred
- Two years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a hospital setting
- LPHT - Licensed Pharmacy Tech - State Registration (Texas Pharmacy Technician Registration) or RPI - Reg Pharmacy Intern - State Licensure
- IV Certification - Intravenous certification (ACPE) if applicable to assigned work area within 90 days
This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively is essential. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve departmental goals.
