Radiography Lab Instructor - Adjunct Faculty
Position Overview:
The Radiography Lab Instructor will oversee laboratory instruction, engage with students in clinical environments, provide necessary academic support, and maintain ongoing communication with fellow faculty and the program director.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Comprehensive understanding of the objectives and goals of the radiography program. Familiarity with the course content as outlined in the Bontrager textbook. Proficient in the procedures, protocols, and practices associated with radiography.
- Adept at operating imaging equipment and accessories to generate diagnostic images. Capable of fostering effective student interactions.
- Demonstrates organizational skills, punctuality, and professionalism. Communicates effectively with students and colleagues.
- Supervises and provides academic support to students in both clinical and laboratory settings.
- Assesses student performance and communicates findings to program faculty.
- Ensures compliance with departmental procedures within the lab facilities.
- Maintains the organization, cleanliness, and supply levels of the lab facilities.
- Completes assignments that support the objectives of the Medical Imaging Department as directed by the department chair.
- Engages with students, fellow faculty, and others with a constructive attitude. Takes responsibility for actions. Attentive to detail. Sets a professional standard. Cultivates a supportive learning atmosphere. Strives to stay updated in the imaging field. Consistently exceeds expectations.
- Associate degree or a two-year technical certificate.
- Documented equivalent of two years of full-time clinical experience in radiography. A Bachelor's degree in a closely related health field is preferred.
