Job Summary

As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in creating and sustaining a culturally sensitive, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children and staff. Your expertise in reflective behavior support will empower staff to provide high-quality care and education to children five and under.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on support for children with challenging behaviors, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with staff to implement The Pyramid Model Framework, promoting positive behavior support.
  • Offer reflective supervision to staff, promoting mental wellness and staff development.
  • Support site staff, children, and families through the multi-level tiered system of support.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, education, or a closely related field, with coursework in early childhood development.
  • Minimum of two years' experience working with children (age 0-5) experiencing mental health/behavioral difficulties.
  • Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and State of Michigan Child Care Licensing Rules preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification required within 90 days.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
