Job Summary

SSM Health is seeking a skilled Hair Stylist to provide exceptional hair care services to residents in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. As a key member of our Beauty Shop team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality haircuts, shampoos, and styles, as well as providing color and permanent wave services as needed.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Cut, shampoo, and style hair for residents with precision and attention to detail.
  • Provide color and permanent wave services for residents as needed, ensuring exceptional results and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform minor housekeeping tasks, including sweeping the floor and washing and drying towels, on a daily basis.
  • Open and close the shop as needed, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Schedule appointments and answer phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Responsible for accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and timely payment processing.
  • Assist with new employee training, providing guidance and support to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Demonstrate customer service skills in accordance with established facility guidelines, providing exceptional care and attention to residents.
  • Computer data entry required, ensuring accurate and timely data management.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
Education and Experience

High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience required. One year hair stylist experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors. Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. Frequent keyboard use/data entry. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and gripping. Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs. Rare climbing.

Cosmetologist - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services. State of Work Location: Wisconsin. Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma - N/A.
