Compensation: $38.00 Per Hour*
Work Schedule: Seeking a Relief Driver. Flexible availability required for all shifts, including AM, PM, and Overnight. Opportunities for part-time to full-time hours with no guaranteed hours. Increased hours may be available during peak periods.
*Breakdown of Pay: $27.49 in Standard Hourly Wage + $5.26 Incentive Compensation + $5.25 in Health & Wellness Compensation (applicable for up to 40 hours weekly) – Health & Wellness Compensation is designed to assist with monthly health insurance costs. This amount is included in your paycheck regardless of insurance selection.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of tractor-trailer driving experience within the past decade
- Valid CDL A license required
- Ability to successfully complete a federal background check
- No felony convictions or DUIs/DWIs in the last five years
- Physical capability to perform frequent lifting and pushing/pulling of wheeled carts
- Must pass a DOT Physical and a pre-employment drug screening (covered by the company)
** Drivers may need to load, unload, sort, and manage cargo to and from trailers manually or with mechanical equipment such as carts or pallet jacks. The driver must be capable of bending, stooping, twisting, climbing, and moving freely while handling cargo that may exceed 100 pounds. The driver should be able to lift between 60 to 100 pounds and must be able to lift 60 pounds overhead while exerting a minimum of 70 pounds of pull pressure on the 5th wheel lock and trailer tandem release. Additionally, the driver must safely maneuver a cart weighing up to 1600 pounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Arrive on time for all scheduled shifts.
- Conduct thorough inspections of the vehicle before, during, and after each trip (pre-trip/post-trip) and report any issues to the local operations manager.
- Complete daily tasks in accordance with company procedures and policies, as well as federal and state regulations governing motor vehicle operation.
- Communicate any delays (due to weather, traffic, or breakdowns) that may affect timely arrivals at postal facilities.
