We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Queen Creek Unified School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing students with speech or language disorders and developing individualized therapy plans to improve their communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Assess students with speech or language disorders and determine eligibility for services.
- Develop annual Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and complete 3-year re-evaluations.
- Plan and provide individual and group therapy to students consistent with speech/language goals contained in IEPs.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and implement classroom-based activities to improve oral and written language skills of students.
- Evaluate student progress and determine readiness for termination of therapy services.
- Assist in the selection of materials, equipment, and supplies for diagnostics and therapy.
- Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and administrators to ensure effective collaboration and support.
- Complete all required paperwork and maintain accurate records.
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field.
- Current state license to practice speech therapy in Arizona.
- Working knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
- Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.
The Speech Language Pathologist will work in a school setting, interacting with students, teachers, and parents. The position requires the ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds, and to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods. The work environment is typically moderate, with occasional exposure to wet and humid conditions.
