Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Representative to join our team at gategroup. As a Quality Assurance Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and monitor quality improvement projects to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Audit implementation of quality systems to verify effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor corrective action systems to ensure timely and effective resolution of quality issues.
  • Educate and train unit staff and managers on quality-related issues and best practices.
  • Develop and implement quality systems and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Champion total quality improvement efforts and initiate problem-solving efforts to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support the manager in driving prevention vs. detection of defects and maintaining customer compliance resolution.
  • Maintain key performance metrics for the Quality organization and provide regular reports to management.
  • Act as the primary liaison to US Quality Assurance and control food safety and quality of processing and manufacturing within the business.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in food safety control practices (GMP's, SOP's, and HACCP) and quality program control.
  • High School graduate or equivalent with experience in related discipline.
  • Preferred qualifications include College degree in related discipline, knowledge of HACCP, quality management, and six sigma.
  • ServSafe certification required; HACCP certified and ServeSafe trained a plus.
  • Basic lean, six sigma knowledge, and continuous improvement understanding a plus.
Preferred Skills
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Basic statistics calculation and/or mathematical comprehension.
  • Project management skills.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Multi-lingual a plus.
Work Environment

Regularly stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts of 10+ hours. In a normal production kitchen facility, there may be physical discomfort due to temperature and noise. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment, supplies, etc., in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds.
