Job Summary

The J.R. Simplot Company is a leading global food and agriculture company seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Crop Advisor Intern to join our team in Russellville, KY. As a Crop Advisor Intern, you will provide exceptional customer service to growers through the sale of crop nutrition, crop protection, seed, specialty, technology, and other agronomic products and consultative services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct soil sampling, plant sampling, product testing, product applications, and field scouting in production agriculture areas.
  • Assist crop advisors with seed and crop care activities, including computer input of fertilizer application tracking, scouting reports, and other spreadsheets as needed.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of our computer programs, product deliveries, inventory tracking, and safety requirements.

Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university and completed at least freshman year.
  • Major in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agronomy, Crop Science, or other related major.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Farm background or farm experience preferred but not required.
