Job Summary

The Fargo Park District is seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our dining services team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals to our clients in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve daily meals according to menu plans and health standards.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen and serving areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Supervise and train assistant cooks and volunteers to ensure seamless meal preparation and service.
  • Order food and kitchen supplies as needed to maintain inventory levels.
  • Review and update monthly menus to ensure compliance with USDA and Aging Services guidelines.
  • Assist with registration and receipting of meal program income.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a restaurant or food service setting.
  • Prior cooking experience and knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others and maintain a positive and professional working relationship.

Working Conditions
  • Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with frequent exposure to heat, steam, and cleaning chemicals.
  • Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
