Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Textbook Procurement Specialist to join our team at Central Texas College. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of textbook operations, including ordering, pricing, returns, and vendor coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control all aspects of textbook operations, including ordering, pricing, returns, and vendor coordination.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to manage textbook inventory and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with the Bookstore Manager to ensure seamless operations and achieve business objectives.
  • Supervise and train others to ensure high-quality service and support.
  • Interact effectively with college employees and the general public to provide excellent customer service.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree from a nationally accredited institution of higher education.
  • Three years of experience in retail, preferably at an educational institution, with book buying and inventory experience preferred.
  • Ability to set priorities, organize, meet deadlines, and multi-task.
  • Demonstrated data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to operate various office equipment.

Working Conditions: This is a full-time position that requires working hours, overtime, nights, and weekends.
