Job Title: Flight Paramedic

Med-Trans Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flight Paramedic to join our team of air transportation experts. As a Flight Paramedic, you will play a critical role in safely transporting patients to and from medical facilities, as well as providing scene call work.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor, and treat patients in critical care situations.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians' orders.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, and comply with safety standards and briefings.
  • Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
  • Share shift change information to transitioning team and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.
  • Paramedics are accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training required for the position.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in an ALS or critical care setting.
  • Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area.
  • NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (Provided During Orientation).
  • Will be required to obtain trauma certification within 12 months of hire.
  • Advanced Certification (FP-C) is required within 24 months of hire.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
