Pharmacy Intern

As a Pharmacy Intern at Walmart, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of pharmaceutical care for our customers. You will work closely with our pharmacy team to process and accurately dispense prescription orders, counsel customers on health care and prescription medication needs, and maintain confidential information.

• Process and accurately dispense prescription orders under the direction of a Pharmacist
• Counsel customers regarding health care and prescription medication needs
• Maintain confidential information and controlled medication procedures
• Ensure the accuracy of chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances
• Evaluate potential chemical interactions and side effects associated with prescribed medications
• Ensure accurate dictation, communication, and interpretation of written prescriptions
• Provide customer service by acknowledging customers, identifying their needs, and assisting with purchasing decisions
• Operate equipment such as cash registers and related tools to process customer purchases
• Receive and stock merchandise/supplies from distribution centers and suppliers
• Maintain the pharmacy area in accordance with company policies and procedures

To be eligible for this role, you must be enrolled in your final year at an accredited pharmacy school. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Science and Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.
