Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Early Intervention Specialist to join our team at the Helen Farabee Center. As an EIS, you will play a critical role in providing essential services to eligible individuals and their families in a 10-county area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and Assess children with developmental delays in various areas, including cognition, speech/language, fine and gross motor, adaptive behavior, and social/emotional skills.
  • Provide Intervention Services to address the development of the whole child within the context of the family and natural learning activities, strengthening the family's capacity to meet their child's unique needs.
  • Service Coordination for designated children, ensuring timely and efficient processing through the early intervention system.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping of all services provided to children and their families, maintaining accurate and complete records.
Requirements
  • Education and Training - Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 18 hours of semester course credit relevant to early childhood intervention, including 3 hours in early childhood development or early childhood special education.
  • Credentials and Certifications - Registered in the state of Texas as an EIS, completion of all credentialing activities, and maintenance of a valid and current driver's license.
  • Skills and Abilities - Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build rapport with consumers and access community resources.
