Compensation: $800.00, Salary (dependent on funding availability)

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends.

Role Summary:
As an instructor for the Paramedicine degree program, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of aspiring paramedics. Your ongoing assignment will be contingent upon program needs and funding availability.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide expertise in EMS agency operations, management, and leadership.
2. Update and enhance curriculum to align with evolving trends in the Paramedicine sector.
3. Deliver engaging instruction in both traditional and online formats.
4. Conduct assessments to evaluate student learning outcomes.
5. Foster a positive and professional learning environment.
6. Collaborate with EMS agency representatives to achieve program objectives.
7. Prepare and maintain laboratory settings for practical sessions.
8. Demonstrate safe practices in the use of lab equipment and materials.
9. Serve as a mentor and role model for students.
10. Participate in program meetings and contribute to annual assessments.
11. Maintain accurate student and course records.
12. Stay current with course outlines, objectives, and grading standards.
13. Innovate instructional methods to enhance learning experiences.
14. Provide community education opportunities.
15. Complete all required training and perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Associate's degree
Experience: At least 3 years of field experience as a paramedic with an EMS agency.
Certifications: Current National Registry of EMTs certification as a Paramedic, Oklahoma Paramedic license, AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS/PEPP Provider certifications.

Skills and Abilities:
- Strong ability to educate and guide students in Paramedicine skills.
- Proficient in evaluating student performance and conducting assessments.
- Capacity to create a supportive and professional classroom atmosphere.
- Collaborative mindset to work with EMS representatives.
- Adaptability to curriculum changes and educational technologies.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in office technologies including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Initiative to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS/PEPP Instructor certifications.
- Previous teaching or field training experience.
- Familiarity with Emergency Medical training programs.

Working Conditions:
Flexible hours may be required, including evenings and weekends. The role involves significant public interaction through various communication channels.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 75 lbs. unassisted and handling hazardous materials safely. The role requires extended periods of sitting, standing, and computer usage.
