We are a leading General Contractor/Construction Manager in the Mid-Atlantic region, serving from Virginia Beach, VA. We seek a skilled and experienced Superintendent to lead our construction projects in the Hampton Roads area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project finances and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders involved in the project.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules in accordance with company policies.
  • Issue all necessary subcontracts.
  • Facilitate weekly project meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
  • Oversee the completion of all paperwork and administrative tasks associated with the project.
  • Ensure timely ordering of construction materials.
  • Review and approve subcontractor and vendor invoices.
  • Verify insurance submissions.
  • Monitor submission, change order, and request for information logs.
  • Implement quality and OSHA controls on job sites.
  • Prepare change orders as needed.
  • Communicate work progress and budget matters to clients.
  • Address work delays, emergencies, and other issues as they arise.
  • Notify the Director of Operations of significant project impacts.
  • Ensure punch list completion.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager in commercial, retail, healthcare, education, or industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, including safety regulations and building codes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Project and P6.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project demands.
