Job Title: Quality Control Inspector/Safety

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Inspector/Safety to join our team at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. As a Quality Control Inspector/Safety, you will be responsible for ensuring that all work performed by operations and maintenance staff meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and monitor work performed by operations and maintenance staff to ensure compliance with quality control standards.
  • Coordinate and implement quality control programs to ensure that all work meets established standards.
  • Verify that all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and displayed.
  • Confer with officials and interpret regulations and codes to ensure compliance.
  • Investigate complaints and prepare reports of findings and action taken.
  • Recommend changes in standards, administrative procedures, facilities, methods, and practices.
  • Assist the Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) in ensuring a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of similar experience.
  • Experience or training in electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/BAS control systems.
  • 2+ years of Safety experience and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) degree.
  • OSHA 30 training.
  • Short travel periods may be required.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Carrying objects/boxes/print-outs short distances.
  • Extensive work with a computer.
  • May require lifting and moving as much as 50 pounds with assistance as needed.
  • Use of hands, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and walking.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stooping.
  • Climbing ladders and entering confined spaces.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors in various temperatures (some extreme) and weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • EM-385 training.
