At Salas O'Brien, we're seeking a seasoned Director of Electrical Engineering to lead our Richmond, VA office. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for overseeing the design of electrical systems for various projects, including healthcare, education, and commercial facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers to deliver high-quality designs and projects
  • Develop and implement electrical system designs based on project scope and client requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution
  • Conduct site surveys and document existing electrical systems
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in electrical design and engineering
  • Provide guidance on code compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables meet their needs

Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 15+ years of experience in electrical design and engineering
  • PE License (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and design guidelines
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
