Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced RN to join our team as a Pre-Operative/Transfusion specialist. This role involves direct patient care, including assessment, intervention, medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments in the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative environments.
Essential Functions:
This position requires the ability to perform the following tasks:
- Document patient care in Med-Host, Nextgen, and Exit Care EMR systems.
- Evaluate learning needs of patients and families, and provide education accordingly.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
